Petaling Jaya, 30 JULY 1998 - Barely days after signing for Italian giants Inter Milan, star footballer Roberto Baggio has created a stir by revealing his intentions to play in the Malaysian league.

In a totally false quote created by the writer to make headlines, Roberto Baggio allegedly said that he had wanted a change from the hectic and high-pressured life of Italian football.

"Asians are improving by leaps and bounds. Just look at the World Cup. South Korea managed to restrict Holland to just a 5-0 victory! That is definitely a sign of a future world champ from Asia."

The top footballer also did not say "I choose the M-league because it is highly competitive. My idol, Tony Cottee came over and struggled, then crawled back to England. That just shows how tough the Malaysian league is."

Roberto Baggio's M-league dreams, however, will not come true for ten years at least. The Italian international wants to make sure that his kids grow up properly back in their homeland first before making any moves to another country.
